Here are the new Bounty Hunters from Brigade Models, UK. I love these guys. Especially the big guy with the ears. Reminds me of Briaros from the Appleseed anime. There are another two figures in this set but unfortunately the ankle of the "captive" figure was miss-cast, which I didn't notice until I was gluing him to his base and his leg collapsed. So a bit of greenstuff needs added before I finish him off.

These are sculpted by the hugely talented PF and I haven't seen anybody else who can sculpt this delicately in 15mm. The Brigade range of his minis are great. When you look at the unpainted figures they look way too small and delicate to mix with other brands, but once painted these figures look fine. I'll be painting the Human Mercenary pack soon, so watch out for a blog posting off these.

I've also finished painting the Federal Army troops from Khurasan and I've based a couple with the last of my bases from Warbases. I need to order yet another couple of packs this week.

Eastway City Militia Part 3

The Eastway City's Militia recruitment has progressed well with many new soldiers ready to fight for independent choice for settlers on Forsey. Many non-combatant tech positions have also been fulfilled, ensuring that the armoured vehicles and transports are capable of moving troops into combat zones when required.

The Eastway City Governing Council consists of eight permanent members. Pictured below, from left to right, are Naismith Connay, Faal Birmandii, Pierre Gamby and Finn Russelle. These four form the opposition party that stands against Colonel Etevino Cassado's attempts at taking full control of the council.

The City Guard are controlled by Finn Russelle, making him the second most powerful member of the council. Connay and Gambay control the Trading and Manufacturing Unions, while Birmandii is the representative of the non-human residents of Eastway. Birmandii is also the closest to the Federation and campaigns for a peaceful settlement to the Independence issue.

The City Guard, shown below, are the best equipped troops in Eastway but very rarely see action. Their armour and weapons, including the heavy dreadnaught suits, is actually of an antique design that was introduced during the 1st Expansion from Old Earth. In fact some of the dreadnaughts are over 100 years old.

All the figures I've used are from the old Traveller range, most of which are still available from Rafm. The only exception is the alin, Faal Birmandii, who is from Brigade Games Alien Civilians pack.

Distractions!!

I really need to get back to this project. A not-so-brief foray into 18mm napoleonics and then finishing off some 28mm greek/macedonians means that my 15mm scifi stuff has been sitting way too long untouched. Plus I'm on the verge of rebasing my figures onto individual bases!!! All I need is bases that are the right size, cheao and easy to come by.

Edit: Since posting this I've ordered a couple of packs of 15mm circular bases from Warbases. Once these arrive I'll be popping some of the painted figures off there bases and individually basing them.

Also, I've just received a pack of Alien Civilians from Brigade Games. These are great little figures, full of character, that will be getting painted and stuck onto the new bases when they arrive.
